Llànties de foc (TV)
2011 · Documentary · 56 min. · Spain
An inquirer portrait on the life and work of the orientalist, philologist , mystical and Mallorcan poet Joan Mascaró i Fornés , considered the most prestigious translator of some of the most important sacred texts of India in Sanskrit to English, such as the " Bhagavad Gita " , the " Dhammapada "and" Upanishads " . Under the theme of unity in diversity, Mascaro strongly defended the need to establish a bridge of dialogue among civilizations. His ideas are still valid in a world in conflict and are crucial to understanding the constant Western view of Eastern spirituality in pursuit of the realization of the individual.
