Mary & Johnny (2011) unfolds during the Zurich Fest 2010, just before the decisive game of the Football World Cup. Mary is eager to enjoy the match, but her companion Johnny is in a foul mood due to a recent job loss. A chain of miscommunications escalates into a heated argument, causing the pair to part ways. Throughout the night, they encounter dubious individuals and find themselves in a whirlwind of chaotic events. Tragically, they repeatedly miss each other by narrow margins. The film is a loose adaptation of Ödön von Horvath's "Casimir and Caroline.
