Unlucky Plaza (2014) follows the story of Onassis Hernandez, who was once the proud owner of Singapore's most beloved Filipino eatery. However, a food poisoning incident orchestrated by a disgruntled employee led to a scandal that pushed his business to the edge of financial ruin. As if that weren't enough, Onassis is further devastated by a financial fraud, driving him to the brink of despair. In a desperate act, he takes a group of individuals hostage in a luxurious bungalow, and the ensuing crisis, broadcasted live, ignites global outrage. The question remains: will Onassis ultimately be seen as a victim or a villain?
