You I Love
2004 · Movie · 85 min. · Russia
Vera Kirillova (Lubov Tolkalina), a television news reader, and Timofey Pechorin (Evgeny Koryakovsky), an advertising executive are two attractive Moscow yuppies. They meet when her wallet is stolen and he offers to pay for her lunch. They become a couple. Then one night, Timofey accidentally hits Uloomji (Damir Badmaev) with his car and, after a quick visit to the hospital, takes him home. Uloomji is young and naïve (he believes that A.T.M.'s are just big boxes full of money that anyone can take), but he is not a sexual innocent. Fairly early on, Vera walks in on the two men. This leads her to follow Timofey to a gay club, where they enjoy a ménage à trois with a young blond man. Maybe Vera will be more accepting of Uloomji's role in Timofey's life now. His parents certainly aren't, but even they can't stand in the way of the unorthodox happy ending, for which the film applauds itself heartily.
