Barnabáš Kos is a member of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra. He plays the triangle dutifully but his heart isn’t really in it. Sometimes he’s late to rehearsal because he has other volunteer commitments and knows the triangle doesn’t come in for a long time (and even then it’s just for a couple of bars). One day he receives a letter telling him the government has now appointed him the new director of the orchestra.
