My Sin (1931) follows the journey of a woman, portrayed by Tallulah Bankhead, who is a prostitute residing in Panama. After fatally shooting her pimp, she faces murder charges. Frederic March, a lawyer, takes on her case and successfully secures her acquittal. He then provides her with financial support to start anew in New York. She rises to prominence as a successful businesswoman and crosses paths with a wealthy businessman, Harry Davenport, who is unaware of her past. However, when a figure from her past resurfaces, the threat of exposure looms. The narrative builds suspense around whether her past will be revealed and if she will proceed with her plans to marry.
