Rice (1963)

Rice (1963) chronicles the struggles of impoverished farmers in Muju, Cheonbuk Province, who face severe challenges in obtaining sufficient water to cultivate their rice fields. Despite numerous attempts to construct a canal to the Geum River, their efforts repeatedly end in failure. However, following the military coup of 1962, the government steps in with comprehensive support, ultimately aiding the villagers in achieving their goal.
