Silent Love (1990) follows Alessandra, a skilled restorer working for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, as she is assigned to restore a fresco in the villa of the Rospigliosi family. Upon arrival, she discovers a highly charged atmosphere: the elderly countess is perpetually on the brink of death, the lawyer Picchi is involved with a maid, and the kitchen helper is expecting a child from the farmhand. Giulio, the countess's nephew, who has been isolated by his mother Veronica due to his deaf-muteness, lives a wild and untamed life. Alessandra, despite being engaged, falls in love with Giulio and becomes entangled in the family's intrigues and attempts to sell the villa, despite the fresco's historical significance. Alessandra's feelings are manipulated to achieve hidden agendas, but the true mastermind behind the schemes is revealed only at the end.
