Hawaii, Oslo (2004) is a narrative that intertwines the lives of several individuals in Oslo on the hottest day of the year, even though they may not be aware of each other's presence. The film focuses on Frode and Milla, a couple expecting their first child, who are devastated to learn that their baby may not survive. It also follows Bobbie-Pop, a former singer struggling with life and attempting to end it. Leon, a kleptomaniac confined to an institution, is on a mission to find Åsa, with whom he has a decade-old pact to marry. Leon's brother, Trygve, picks him up from the institution to celebrate his birthday but has his own escape plans. Central to the story is Vidar, an angelic figure and Leon's closest friend at the institution, who possesses the unique ability to perceive things others cannot. Vidar's insights might be the key to saving everyone, except perhaps himself.
