Scenes from the Goldmine (1987) follows the journey of aspiring songwriter and musician Debi DiAngelo, portrayed by Catherine Mary Stewart, as she enters the world of a rock & roll band. Her talent and ambition quickly gain her recognition, but her involvement with the band's charismatic leader, Niles, played by Cameron Dye, leads to complications. As her relationship with Niles deepens, she discovers that he has ulterior motives, attempting to exploit her musical creations for his own gain, forcing her to navigate the treacherous waters of fame and betrayal.
