Set in the Ryukyu Kingdom during the latter days of the Tokugawa shogunate, a woman who wants to complete her studies despite her gender restrictions, takes advantage of the disappearance of her step brother and disguises herself as a Eunuch named Son Neion. Later still under disguise, she passes the exam to be a royal governments official.
