Knightriders (1981) follows a wandering ensemble of jousters and entertainers who find themselves under immense strain due to the relentless harassment from local law enforcement, mounting financial difficulties, and the struggle to uphold their own lofty principles. The group's charismatic leader, King Billy, grapples with maintaining his authoritative role as a warrior king. Meanwhile, the Black Knight is lured by the allure of Hollywood and the promise of fame in Los Angeles, causing the entire troupe to question the purpose of their journey and the ideals they once held dear.
