A neurotic film director gets a chance to make a come-back movie but finds the people producing it and allowing him this golden opportunity are his ex-wife whom he has bad relations with and the man who stole her away who now heads a studio. Chaos ensues as he cannot say "no" to the job and must work closely under very tense circumstances. His neurosis emerges to haunt him.
