Girls Never Call (2005) follows the lives of two individuals with contrasting financial philosophies. KEVIN, a gardener, lives frugally, earning $300 a month and saving diligently. LORENA, a secretary, spends lavishly, often exceeding her earnings, and enjoys the high life at exclusive clubs and shopping on Rodeo Drive. Kevin, who values practicality, avoids sentimental relationships due to financial constraints, while Lorena seeks men who can provide financial stability, often ending up with emotionally unstable partners. Their paths cross at a glamorous party in L.A., where Lorena, mistaking Kevin for the son of the Los Angeles Lakers owner, spends the night with him. The story takes a dramatic turn when Lorena discovers she is pregnant, leading to a series of unexpected events.
