Lady Gangster (1942) follows the story of Dot Burton (Faye Emerson), who is apprehended after serving as a decoy in a bank heist. Her capture draws the notice of Ken Phillips (Frank Wilcox), an old flame who initially believes in her innocence. However, Dot's confession complicates matters. Before her incarceration, she manages to pilfer the $40,000 from the bank and entrusts it with her landlady, setting the stage for a complex web of deceit and redemption.
