Donkey Skin (1970) tells the tale of a princess's journey through love and self-discovery. A king and queen enjoy a blissful life until the queen's untimely demise. The king, consumed by grief, decides to marry his own daughter. The princess, though reluctant, is guided by the Lily Fairy, who acts as a moral compass and aims to prevent the incestuous union. The fairy advises the princess to ask for a series of impossible dresses, hoping to deter the king. However, the king's skilled tailor manages to create each dress. Undeterred, the fairy devises another plan, instructing the princess to wear the skin of the king's prized donkey and flee. Disguised and humiliated, the princess becomes a scullery maid. One day, a wandering prince encounters her in the woods and is instantly captivated. The story unfolds to see if true love can conquer all and if the princess can learn valuable lessons about life's hardships.
