No One Lives

Fourteen students appear brutally murdered, and the crime scene offers no clues as to the whereabouts of the one person who could be the only survivor, a young woman named Emma. Months later, some bandits attack a young couple’s car, and in it they discover the frightened Emma. Rubbing their hands together at the perspective of the considerable payoff for the “ransom”, they don’t realize that the ones who appeared to be their prey are actually much less defenseless than they seem. Ryûhei Kitamura continues his American adventure with a violent and ingenious thriller, manipulating all the genre conventions past and future to his taste.
