Prophecy (2015) follows a man named Gates who leads an enigmatic organization known as "Shinbunshi." This group, donning newspaper masks, releases internet videos to expose and punish individuals they believe have committed offenses that evade legal consequences. Simultaneously, Erika Yoshino, a skilled inspector from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's cybercrime unit, is tasked with identifying and apprehending the Shinbunshi members to halt their vigilante activities. As the group's videos gain traction, they increasingly garner public support, complicating Erika's mission to bring them to justice.
