Maimed and raped, Yeong-ja, a former maid-turned-prostitute, finds a reason to live when she meets Chang-su. Chang-su is arrested however, for assaulting a man who was harassing a young woman. While he is being held, Yeong-ja falls victim to a plot against her by her former pimp.
