Point Man (2018) is a gripping tale set in the heart of Vietnam during April 1968, a tumultuous period marked by the aftermath of the Tet Offensive and the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. The narrative revolves around a U.S. Army fire team grappling with deep-seated racial tensions, moral dilemmas, and the overwhelming pressures of combat in a conflict that many soldiers feel is unwarranted. At the center of the story is Andre "Casper" Allen, a tough and unyielding ideologue whose radical beliefs clash with those of Silas Meeks, the squad's machine gunner. When their mission to search and destroy in the Mekong Delta takes a disastrous turn, both men are thrust into a deadly confrontation with each other and their stubborn platoon commander, Lieutenant Sutter. As the point men face constant danger and the bonds of loyalty begin to fray, every step forward comes at a steep cost.
