The Audition (2019) centers around Anna Bronsky, a dedicated violin instructor at the Conservatoire. Despite warnings from her peers, she champions the enrollment of a promising student, Alexander, recognizing his exceptional potential. Anna's intense dedication to preparing Alexander for the annual exam leads her to overlook her own son Jonas, a budding violinist with a passion for ice hockey. This neglect strains her relationship with her loving husband, Philippe Bronsky, a skilled French luthier. As the audition approaches, Anna drives Alexander to achieve increasingly extraordinary performances. Tragedy strikes on the pivotal day, resulting in severe repercussions.
