French director Sébastien Lifshitz follows up his erotic feature Come Undone with a sumptuous film about three people living on the fringe or wild side of society. The film follows a trio of disparate outsiders; Stephanie, a transsexual Parisian prostitute; Mikhail, a Russian Army deserter; and Jamel, an attractive Arab prostitute. A trip to the country to care for Stephanie’s dying mother draws the three in and cements their relationship. Though their future is uncertain and others may not understand them, these three unlikely friends find comfort and passion in one another's arms.
