Yellow Asphalt (2000) presents three interconnected narratives set against the backdrop of the Bedouin community of Jahalin in the Judean desert. The first tale unfolds on a nearly deserted highway where two Israeli truck drivers accidentally hit a Bedouin boy. As they attempt to escape, the boy's family and tribe members encircle the truckers, leaving their fate uncertain. In the second story, a woman seeks a divorce from her husband in a traditional tent court, hoping to take her young daughters with her. The elders, however, reject her plea, leading her to flee with her children under the cover of night, pursued by her enraged husband. The final narrative revolves around a Bedouin maidservant who is caught in an adulterous affair with her Israeli employer. Facing severe consequences, she seeks refuge with her lover, only to be rejected and left to the mercy of a Bedouin farmhand. The film explores the themes of tribal justice and the complexities of life in a traditional Bedouin society.
