Dear Child (2023) follows the harrowing journey of Lena, who resides in complete seclusion with two children, Hannah and Jonathan, in a heavily fortified residence. Their daily routines, including meals, bathroom breaks, and bedtimes, are strictly regulated. The children are conditioned to obey every command, even lining up to display their hands upon his arrival. However, Lena's life takes a dramatic turn when she manages to flee. Following a near-fatal car accident, she is admitted to the hospital, accompanied by Hannah. The true horror of her situation unfolds when Lena's parents arrive at the hospital that same night, revealing they have been frantically searching for their daughter, who has been missing for nearly 13 years.
