Balestra (2023) follows the journey of Joanna Bathory, a once-renowned competitive fencer seeking redemption and a final opportunity to secure Olympic gold. Driven by the demands of her husband and coach, Rafe, Joanna is introduced to an experimental device that enables her to train even during her sleep. While she excels on the piste during the day, her nights are filled with vivid, lucid dreams. However, the line between her waking life and dreams begins to fade when she meets a mysterious individual named Elliot, leading her into a complex web of unfulfilled desires and subconscious realities.
