Zonad (2009) unfolds in the quaint Irish town of Ballymoran, where the Cassidy family discovers a mysterious, red leather-clad man unconscious in their living room. They deduce that he must be an extraterrestrial. Upon waking, the man, who is actually an escapee from an alcohol rehabilitation center, decides to play along with their assumption, introducing himself as Zonad, an alien visitor. Zonad's life takes a turn for the better as he becomes an instant local celebrity, enjoying free beer, a comfortable home, and the attention of many women. However, his charmed existence is threatened when a skeptical resident starts to question his story and another rehab escapee, posing as an alien named Bonad, arrives, complicating Zonad's deception.
