Fitzwilly (1967) follows the story of Miss Vicki, who, after her father's passing, dedicates herself to philanthropy but finds herself in dire financial straits. Her devoted butler, Claude Fitzwilliam, rallies the household staff to execute a series of clever heists. They charge goods to affluent individuals and reroute the deliveries to maintain Miss Vicki's lavish lifestyle. Fitzwilliam, who was raised by Miss Vicki after his own mother's death, is deeply devoted to her and will do anything to ensure her comfort. With Fitzwilliam's support, Miss Vicki pens a "Dictionary for Dopes," a unique guide that lists all possible phonetic spellings of a word and provides the correct one. To assist with this project, she hires Juliet as her secretary. Juliet soon becomes entangled in the household's schemes and develops feelings for Fitzwilliam. The couple plans one final heist before their wedding to secure Miss Vicki's future.
