El amigo de todos

Documentary that traces the figure of Auke Bert Pattist, a Nazi who belonged to the Waffen SS and fled to Spain after World War II until he settled in Asturias. This story told in retrospect is born from the memories of a child fascinated by the man who frequented his parents' bar. That child, now an adult, struggles among old newspapers, legal evidence and suspicions that blur the reconstruction of the Nazi who bewitched his childhood gaze. The documentary is a puzzle of situations and characters that move between contradictions without agreeing on a firm portrait of Pattist. However, all agree that the Waffen SS lieutenant was a chameleon-like type, a "friend of all", who mimicked with surprising ease with all the spheres of a Francoist Spain -later democratic- that did not want to see, but heard and kept silent.
