Adolf Muschg - The Other
2021 · Documentary · 86 min. · Switzerland
Today, Adolf Muschg is one of the most important figures in Swiss literature. His start in life, however, was difficult: his father died early, his mother was depressed. He went through boarding school as a half-orphan and came to terms with the world as a young intellectual, before becoming a beacon of hope for the Swiss left. Director Erich Schmid's documentary portrait follows both Muschg's career and the trail of his last novel 'Heimkehr nach Fukushima', which leads to a contaminated Japan and a Zen monastery.
