Night Sun (1990) follows the journey of a young aristocrat, Baron Sergio Giuramondo, who, upon uncovering his fiancée's infidelity with the king, departs Naples in disillusionment to pursue a life of monastic solitude. However, his pursuit of seclusion is continually disrupted by pilgrims who have heard whispers of his extraordinary abilities, as well as by women who challenge each other to successfully entice him.
