The Asadas (2020) follows Masashi, a budding photographer, who lives with his elder brother and parents, forming a close-knit family unit. When Japan faces a catastrophic tsunami and a nuclear reactor meltdown, the nation is thrown into chaos. In response to the turmoil, Masashi turns to his art. He captures intimate photographic portraits of his family, documenting their lives amidst the crisis.
