Deedar (1992) follows the story of Anand Malhotra, the sole heir to the vast fortune of his industrialist father, Kailashnath Malhotra. Anand is deeply in love with Sapna Saxena, the daughter of a widowed schoolteacher, Gayetri Saxena. When Anand's parents discover their relationship, they approve of the match and plan an engagement. However, on the day of the engagement, Gayetri and Sapna mysteriously disappear, leaving the Malhotras humiliated and vowing to end the union. Anand, confused and determined, seeks answers from Gayetri, who remains tight-lipped. As Anand delves deeper, he risks uncovering secrets that could shatter Gayetri's past, jeopardize his father's business, and challenge the very foundation of his family's honor.
