Uncle Drew (2018) follows Dax (Lil Rel Howery) as he invests his entire savings to field a team for the prestigious Rucker Classic street ball tournament in Harlem. However, his journey is fraught with challenges, including the loss of his team to a longstanding adversary (Nick Kroll). In a last-ditch effort to secure victory and the substantial cash prize, Dax crosses paths with the enigmatic and legendary basketball icon, UNCLE DREW (NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving), persuading him to lace up his sneakers one final time. Together, they embark on a journey to reunite Drew's former basketball crew (featuring Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie) and demonstrate that a team of seasoned veterans can still claim the championship.
