Matadero (TV Series) (2019) is a gripping 10-episode series set in a quaint town nestled within the vast cereal fields of Castile and León. The story unfolds around the slaughterhouse owned by Francisco (Antonio Garrido), a shrewd businessman focused on the meat industry. Francisco imports low-quality pigs from Portugal at a bargain, aiming to maximize profits. Among the slaughterhouse's employees is Alfonso (Pepe Viyuela), Francisco's brother-in-law and a veterinarian by profession. Alfonso, however, is a timid and somewhat cowardly individual who struggles with the moral dilemma of certifying animals of questionable quality, despite his professional obligations.
