Daraar (1996) follows the story of Raj Malhotra, a man from an affluent family who resides with his mother. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Priya Bhatia, an employee at a real estate agency. Raj is immediately smitten with Priya, but she initially rejects his advances. However, Priya's blind mother, Nirmala, persuades her to reconsider. The families of Raj and Priya meet to formalize their marriage, but during this gathering, Nirmala reveals a shocking secret: Priya is already married, and her husband is still alive.
