The Cocaine Fiends (The Peace That Kills)
1935 · Movie · 68 min. · United States
A blatant piece of muck-raking made in obscure conditions in the '30s which delivers its nominal anti-drugs theme with comical relish. A rake's progress of drug-induced degeneracy starts promisingly, but then gets rather bogged down in the banalities of the film's outlook, with the cocaine itself increasingly a side issue. 1
