Boca (1994) follows the journey of J.J., a striking American journalist dispatched to Brazil during the vibrant Carnival season. Her mission is to delve into the disturbing reports of savage murders targeting street children from the infamous Brazilian favelas. Facing obstruction from corrupt officials, J.J. leverages her producer's connections to uncover the location of the next planned execution. At the scene, she witnesses a ruthless local crime lord known as "Boca" ("Mouth"), a moniker derived from his full street name "Mouth of Gold," due to his distinctive golden teeth. Boca intervenes to rescue the children and eliminate the executioners. With the local government and police unwilling to halt the killings, J.J. endeavors to form an alliance with Boca, aiming to persuade him to assist her in exposing the truth and saving more lives.
