Skins (2002) follows Rudy Yellowshirt, a dedicated police investigator who confronts the harsh realities of life on an Indian reservation. Despite the pervasive issues of unemployment, alcoholism, and domestic violence, Rudy has managed to steer clear of the despair that plagues many in his community. However, his brother Mogie has not been as fortunate. When a gruesome discovery is made—a bloodied body and a burning liquor store that supplies millions of cans of beer annually to the native population—Rudy embarks on a personal mission. Driven by a desire for vengeance and justice, he seeks to protect his family, his heritage, and to confront the systemic issues that have led to his brother's self-destruction.
