The Outlaws (TV) (1984) follows the story of Eugene Griswold, an ordinary suburban man who grows weary of his monotonous nine-to-five job and the endless hours he dedicates to it. Seeking a change, Eugene becomes entangled in a dubious get-rich-quick plan devised by his inventive friend, Stanley Flynn. This ill-fated scheme results in both men being incarcerated, setting the stage for a series of chaotic events. When a peculiar prison escape orchestrated by other inmates occurs, Eugene and Stanley are wrongly accused of masterminding the breakout. Consequently, they find themselves on the run from the authorities, navigating a series of misadventures as they try to clear their names.
