Funny Bones (1995) follows the journey of aspiring comedian Tommy Fawkes, portrayed by Lee Evans, who faces a humiliating defeat in Las Vegas. His father, the renowned showman George Fawkes, played by Oliver Platt, consistently outshines him. Seeking solace and direction, Tommy returns to his hometown of Blackpool, England. There, he encounters the Parker family, a group of British vaudevillians. Tommy uncovers a hidden past where his father had appropriated their routines and briefly had an affair with Mrs. Parker, leading to the birth of Tommy's half-brother Jack, who possesses the natural talent Tommy yearns for.
