Pablo, a Spanish War veteran feels he is about to die. He sends his three adopted sons, originally from Liège, back on the trail of his turbulent past. On this journey, they will meet two manipulative old anarchists, a rather strange Guardia Civil captain, an ex-torero who now keeps an inn and a commander who mistakes his casern for an opera… Charlie, one of the three brothers, will find love with beautiful Angela, while the others two will find meaning to their lives.
