Der Traum von Olympia
2016 · Documentary · 89 min. · Germany
In August 1936, the Olympic summer games were held in Berlin. For the first time in the history the competitions will be broadcast live. The National Socialists regard the Games as a possibility for propaganda messages. Wolfgang Fürstner (Simon Schwarz), commander of the Olympic village, is slowly getting doubts about Hitler's politics through his Jewish roots. Gretel Bergmann (Sandra von Ruffin), meanwhile, is destroying the dream of Olympia because she is excluded from the games as a Jewess.
