In response to the brutal assaults led by General George Armstrong Custer, a group of Lakota Sioux abduct two white women, Anna Brewster Morgan (Janine Turner) and Sarah White (Jean Louisa Kelly). Initially, Anna is gripped by fear of her captors, but over time, she develops deep feelings for the dignified and honorable Sioux warrior, Tokalah (Michael Greyeyes).
