This movie was produced by the DFF (East German TV) on the occasion of starting a full color programme in 1970. It´s just a collection of songs, some are performed even by "Western" stars like Gilbert Becaud and Etta Cameron, who also sing in German. (Etta Cameron sings a version of "Big Spender" without any reference to the original text!) There is no need to understand the language - the plot was just added to connect the songs, it forms a musical calendar with one song for every month. Two photo reporters have to look for good motives for their new calendar, they are travelling across the country and meeting every quartal to discuss the results. By chance, everywhere they meet, the same waiter serves them...
