Motherless

A middle-aged couple, Amir Ali and Marjan, lead a quiet life until Marjan, who aspires to become a mother, meets Mahrouz, a woman trying to raise money for her son's kidney transplant. When Marjan insists on renting a uterus and the surrogate mother enters their lives, they unwittingly go through different trials and face moral dilemmas they were unaware of. The controversy surrounding surrogacy is put on the table, revealing the consequences of a practice not yet sufficiently legislated.
