Fun With Dick and Jane (1977) follows the story of Dick Harper, a manager who, along with his charming wife Jane, enjoys a life of comfort and luxury. They have recently completed the construction of a swimming pool when Dick is abruptly terminated from his job, leaving them with a substantial debt of $70,000 on their house. Determined to maintain their facade of affluence, they initially attempt to conceal their financial struggles from their neighbors and reduce their expenses. However, the strain of living on unemployment benefits becomes unbearable, and the uncertainty of keeping their home looms large. In a desperate bid to escape their predicament, Dick decides to turn to robbing drug stores, a plan that proves to be more challenging than anticipated. As they navigate this perilous path, Dick and Jane must rely on each other's skills and teamwork to succeed.
