The Deserted Station (2002) follows a couple on a journey from Tehran to Mashad, whose vehicle malfunctions far from any significant settlement. The husband, a photographer, ventures to a nearby village to seek assistance and crosses paths with a teacher who volunteers to aid them. While the husband and teacher embark on a quest to find a replacement part, the wife, who was once a teacher herself, temporarily takes over the teaching duties in the village. As the day progresses, the children's enthusiasm and energy bring a renewed sense of hope and vitality to the wife's life.
