Life is Sweet (1990) follows the lives of the working-class family of Wendy, Andy, and their adult twin daughters, Natalie and Nicola, residing just north of London. Wendy juggles multiple jobs, including working at a shop and leading aerobics classes, while also managing her husband Andy, a cook with a penchant for procrastinating on home improvement projects. Together, they embark on a venture to purchase a rundown lunch wagon with a friend. Natalie, the more composed twin with a sharp wit, works as a plumber and has plans for a holiday in America. In contrast, Nicola struggles with her identity, battling issues like bulimia and unemployment, making her the family's black sheep.
