Some Girls (TV Series)
TV SEries (2012-Present). Some Girls focuses on the lives and loves of a quartet of 16-year-old girls who play on the same school football team and live on the same South London housing estate. The protagonist is Viva Bennett (Adedayo), whose ambition is to "stay motivated" and become a top child psychologist on Living TV. In the meantime she's happy analysing her friends. She lives with her dad Rob (Colin Salmon), a fire fighter, and her stepmother Anna (Dolly Wells), a New Zealander who also happens to be Viva's sadistic PE teacher. Viva has a younger brother, Jamie (Nathan Bryon), who is obsessed with sex. Viva's circle of friends comprises Holli Vavasour (Jonas), who is prone to violent but entertaining outbursts, and who looks after her younger siblings while using Viva as a mother-figure because her own is absent: Saz Kaur (Dhillon), a maths geek from a traditional Sikh family: and Amber Dean (Felgate) who is portrayed as well-meaning but stupid and is obsessed with boyfriends. They talk about everything from history homework to their ambitions in life.
