The film portrays the life and work of an essential figure in the history of Spanish cinema: José Val del Omar. The creator of extraordinary techniques such as diaphonic sound or tactile vision, Val del Omar can be considered a precursor of the zoom shot and, due to his conception of total cinema, also a forerunner of virtual reality. Photographer, poet, film director, inventor or ‘cinemist’ (as he called himself), he was a man ahead of his time. As the documentary’s guide, a fictitious young researcher accompanies us in the discovery and recognition of one of the most important Andalusians of all time.
